Living Room Ensemble (Spring 2026)

Tuesdays 7:45pm - 8:45pm starting March 3 (four-week class).
You’ve heard it time and again: nothing builds chops like playing with other people. But where can you find that comfortable, forgiving jam for beginners to first get your feet wet? Right here! In this 4-week session, we’ll learn the dynamics and etiquette of group-playing and the song-circle format while highlighting tips for integrating your instrument into an ensemble setting.

About the Instructor: Wes Weddell
For the past 25 years, Wes Weddell has worked multiple shifts in the engine room of Seattle’s roots music scene, keeping his hand in abundant projects as frontman, sideman, writer, teacher, and community-builder. In 2010, Weddell began working with The Bushwick Book Club Seattle, an expanding non-profit collective of songwriters who each compose new music inspired by literature to share in monthly showcases focused around specific books. He is now the organization’s Associate Director. Along the way he has continued to teach a variety of instruments and styles across generations, helping hundreds find the joy of playing and singing with others.
